Griffith University, Australia Retains 5 Star Ranking in MBA

Griffith Business School’s MBA remains one of the country’s most highly-rated programs. For the 10th time the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA) has given Griffith’s MBA a 5-star rating in its prestigious annual ranking. Griffith’s International MBA also achieved a 5-star rating in the analysis, which assessed the quality of MBA programs offered by about 40 organizations throughout Australia. Only eight institutions achieved a 5-star rating in the 2012 ranking which looked at the ‘attractiveness’ of more than 50 MBA programs.

Griffith University is one of only two universities on the list to hit the 5-star mark for both its MBA and International MBA. The IMBA program has participated in the assessment since its inception in 2007. This is the fourth time it has achieved a 5 star rating. The GMAA is the national association for graduates with postgraduate management qualifications, predominately MBAs.

One of the GMAA’s objectives is to promote the standing and value of postgraduate qualifications. The 5-star assessment, which started in 2002, also aims to help potential MBA students to make informed decisions by providing an independent assessment of MBA programs. Griffith’s MBA is also ranked number 26 in the world – the highest Australian ranking – in the Aspen Institute’s Centre for Business Education’s 2011-2012 Beyond Grey Pinstripes Global Top 100. The MBA program was also rated the best value for money in the 2011 Australian Financial Review BOSS MBA survey.
